London, 13 July 2022: This summer, European-born Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of 30 extraordinary brands, is inviting city seekers to salute Golden Hour with a Summer Soirée end-of-day ritual. Part of the brand’s Au Soleil by Le Méridien global programme, the Golden Hour offerings encourage guests to linger just a little longer and savour the good life while enjoying the most beautiful light of the day right before the sun sets.

From now through to October 31st, select Le Méridien hotels in the vibrant European cities of Paris, Istanbul, Barcelona and beyond – will feature an Au Soleil stay package that includes daily breakfast and a complimentary Le Scoop by Le Méridien, featuring various flavours of gelato and sorbet reminiscent of a glamorous sunny summer spent on the French Riviera. In addition, for the sunshine season, properties across Europe have launched Golden Hour activities for guests to get involved in.

LE MÉRIDIEN ETOILE

The city of love celebrates Le Méridien Etoile’s  50th anniversary this summer and invites guests to savour the good life and discover Paris 70’s style. From July 15th to September 30th guests can fall head over heels in love as their stay package includes a two-hour tour around the Parisian streets and iconic landmarks in a vintage Citroën 2CV, that dates back to the 1940s. This picture-perfect trip will be snapped in black and white and retro colour polaroids for guests to keep as a souvenir to make the memories of the summer last even longer.  

LE MÉRIDIEN BARCELONA

With its unique views of Barcelona’s renowned Las Ramblas, every Wednesday evening CentOnze Restaurant at Le Méridien Barcelona will transform into ‘Summer Soirees’ offering a dedicated Petit Plates menu, with Mediterranean-inspired mini baguettes and local light bites – from oysters to grilled fish – all with perfectly paired rosé sangria, spritzers and aperitifs, part of Le Méridien’s signature Sparkling Programme. Every Thursday and Saturday the restaurant will also entice guests for Golden Hour with DJ sets and jazz music, the perfect way to spend warm nights in the city.

LE MÉRIDIEN LAV SPLIT

Le Méridien Lav Split, and Au Soleil go hand in hand together, with mesmerising views of the Adriatic Sea and some of the most spectacular sunsets. Surrounded by lush palm trees, 7 Palms Restaurant offers a wide selection of dishes for a delicious, yet light and healthy lunches, as well as fresh grilled specialties. Every Wednesday guests can enjoy a live music performance during Golden Hour accompanied by Rosé wine and petite plates of calamari, shrimp saganaki, soparnik and prosciutto.

LE MÉRIDIEN HAMBURG

Le Méridien Hamburg, situated on the banks of the Outer Alster Lake in the trendy St. Georg district offers guests the ultimate rooftop spot. Restaurant + Bar at Le Méridien Hamburg offers spectacular waterfront views to soak up those final hours of sunshine whilst enjoying a special Au Soleil cocktail from their new summer menu. As the sun goes down friends can enjoy playing classic games with a modern twist, traditionally enjoyed outdoors during warm weather days, such as the iconic seaside pastime of backgammon, noughts and crosses, and Jenga.
