by Staff GBAF Publications Ltd
  • The iPhone 11 Pro takes the number one spot for the best value iPhone available right now
  • The iPhone XS Max and iPhone 12 take second and third respectively.
  • The brand-new iPhone 13 Mini also features in the top 10

New research has revealed the best value iPhones to look out for ahead of Black Friday, with the iPhone 11 Pro topping the list.

Analysis conducted by NextDayDelivery.co.uk studied review scores from Kimovil and e-commerce sites to reveal that the iPhone 11 Pro is the best value Apple phone available.

Released in 2019, the phone remains in the top spot compared to newer models based on its impressive camera quality and performance. It can now be purchased online for around £420 – less than half the cost of the new iPhone 13 Pro.

The 11 Pro was part of the 13th generation of iPhones, and the range sold more than 102 million units, coming in second in sales behind the iPhone 6 and 6S released in 2014.

The iPhone XS Max comes in a close second in the list. Released in 2018 for an RRP of £1,099, it is now available for as cheap as £360 second hand, ranking it one of the best for affordability. The XS was a part of the 11th generation of iPhones, which was the first to introduce Face ID, edge to edge display, and removal of the home button.

In third place comes the iPhone 12, which received great ratings from users on Google, Amazon and O2. The fan favourite scored highly for its sleek design, great camera quality and leading performance. It’s a part of the 14th generation of iPhones, which was among the best-selling phone ranges of all time, with more than 100 million units sold worldwide in just a year since its release in 2020.

The new iPhone 13 Mini also features on the list. It was released worldwide in September and was a part of the 15th generation of Apple products. The Mini was designed as a smaller, cheaper counterpart to the flagship iPhone 13, which itself features just outside the Top 10. The iPhone 13 Pro Max also makes it into the top 10 despite the staggering £1K price point, The impressive features such as the improved battery life, 6.7” OLED screen, and 5G capability make it a worthy purchase.

Despite being released more than four years ago, the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus still make it into the list and may prove to be a good find this Black Friday for those on a budget. With both available for under £200 second hand, they still hold up with their processing power, durability, and ability to shoot 4K video.

Commenting on the findings, a spokesperson from NextDayDelivery stated: “It’s fascinating to see how the newest generation of iPhones compares to previous versions, and to see the considerable difference in price points. With smartphone sales rising 22% worldwide on Black Friday in 2020, we can expect to see another spike in sales this year and it will be intriguing to see how sales numbers change this month as sites like Amazon, Currys and Very are already slashing prices.”
