Nevis a stunning Island

by uma

Nevis is a stunning island and a truly picturesque wedding setting. It is where British Navy officer Horatio Nelson fell in love and got married to Fanny Nisbet in 1787.

Finding the perfect wedding location is a lot like falling in love: for some, it’s a long, careful process, while others know instantly. Nevis is home to a number of beautiful wedding venues that can cater to weddings big and small, all featuring breath-taking views of Nevis’ natural environment.

Weddings on the island can take place on the beach, at historical Cottle Church, non-traditional venues such as the Nevis Heritage Village, or at three of its luxury hotels: Four Seasons Nevis,  Montpelier Plantation & Beach, and Nisbet Plantation.

Four Seasons Resort Nevis offers five different luxury venues within the resort, including ‘The 18th Lawn’ – an area just beyond the 18th hole of the resort’s golf course, with lush gardens, views of the Caribbean Sea, and the sparkling lights of neighbouring St. Kitts in the distance; and ‘South Beach’ – located at the southernmost point of the resort, a beachfront area with gorgeous sunset views, perfect for intimate weddings.

Wedding services include a dedicated wedding specialist, salon / spa / beauty services, linen and table décor, and floral arrangements. Couples can choose from a set menu, or create a completely bespoke menu to suit their personal tastes.

Montpelier Plantation & Beach offers a more traditional Caribbean setting amongst a historical 18th century plantation. Couples can wed on the secluded beach or in one of the hotel’s spacious dining venues. For unobtrusive, al fresco dining, Montpelier Plantation’s AAA Four Diamond restaurant offers great outdoor seating overlooking both Charlestown and St. Kitts.

The hotel’s Executive Chef will work closely with couples to create a truly memorable meal, brought to life using local ingredients, herbs and spices. The wedding and events team can also help with music, flowers, and entertainment.

Nisbet Plantation features two picturesque venues, the nearby beach or tropical Avenue of the Palms underneath the coconut trees. The resort’s highly experienced wedding coordinator can arrange everything – from the ceremony set up, to the flowers, photography, entertainment and beauty services.

A wedding is the most special moment in a couple’s life, and should be an exciting experience to remember forever. Nevis can make that happen!
